Lamb of God that was Slain

Most
frequently questions ask is that about on how
Jesus being worship in the old Testament? Did the old testament people really
worship God the Son? We knew that Jewish worship is through feast of the Passover by offering the Lamb as animal sacrifices. To answer this question is to examine the passages about “Jesus sa
the Lamb of God”. Jesus as the Lamb of God is the answer of the entire worship
in the Bible. In the Old Testament he was worship through representation of an
animal slaughtered in the temple by priest. We knew that the entire Bible
“Animal Sacrifice is very prevalent”, since Adam up to Jesus time. The
redemption plan of God was already declared
ever since the creation begun; “the Lamb that was slain since the foundation of
the World” Revelation 13:8 and Jonh 1:29
is Jesus. These are the passages that gives us a clue that the real death of
Jesus is not on the cross, but onthe
moment the Triune God decided that Jesus would be a sacrificial lamb in behalf
of creation. The pore-knowledge of God, that after the creation people sins,
God provided a way before sins of the world occure. God did not caught into
surprise when Adam and Eve sins, because it was already determined that people
sins. The statement of Jesus was the Lamb that was slain since the foundation
of the Owrld was a provision ahead or in advance before we fall into sins. Though
Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago, but in God’s perfective He died the
moment the Triune God agree together to create the universe. The God that is
all-knowing has the capacity to see and know the future as if in the present
and time is not really matters for God. The death of Jesus does not occure on
the cross, but on the law of knowledge of God, the moment they realized that
Jesus would be slain on the cross, that is in God’s understanding Jesus was
already slained, it is just the formality on the cross.
We
wonder why God want to do this inspite that they know it would cause them to
die one of the member of the Triune God (Jesus), why don’t they just postpone
and enjoy together in eternity? This is the reason why we need to understand
the meaning of the (LOVE of God). In John 3:16 for God so loved the World that
He gave his only begotten Son that whose so ever believed in him shall not
perish vbut have everasting life. There is no other reason that God created us,
not even our worship is the reason that he needs to creat us, the only main
reason that he created us because he loved us, nothing more nothing less.
Therefore, our responsibility is to worship him, our response to the
unconditional love of God is through worshiping him. In the Old Testament,
worship was through the animal sacrifices and offereings, today we don’t need
the animal sacrifices we need Jesus as our Lamb sacrifices offered to the
throne of God to erase all our sins and cleansing us away from the influence of
materialisms and greed.
Therefore,
because of this Jesus was widely worship in the Old Testament by honouring the
Lamb of God represented by the real lamb “animal sacrifice”. When the Old
Testament people offered Lamb, they look forward of the real Lamb of God that
that takes away their sins. That is why David declared in Psa 51 that animal offering
has nothing to do to remove sins but the real heart that has faith in the real
Lamb of God. Today we don’t need to offer animal sacrifice because it is
finish, it is already done, all we need to do is to commemorate what Jesus had done
on the cross by worshiping him and participate in communion service as a
remembrance of His death and resurrection. Jesus is the Lamb of God that was
slain not during Pilate’s time but during the Triune God decision to create the
universe.
