Worship that is Pleasing to God Part Two By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso

Relationship to God Matters In Worship            Jesus devalued the strict worship service of the religious icons of his time “Pharisees, experts of the law, ascribes and Priests” and redefined it to the “how much LOVE to God and to Neighbors/Enemies”. It is because they rather prioritized on ways and order in the temple rather than relationships to the people and to God by doing injustice to society. Jesus redirects the purpose of worship, it is not how good and how expert you are to comply about worship, but it is how much love content in your worship? Love to God, love to yourself of course and love to your to your neighbors, because you cannot love your neighbors if you don’t love yourself. Again, I will say it again; our end purpose is not to worship God, but to loving God. We cannot worship and we cannot glorify God without loving Him first. We might do excellent worship like the Pharisees and Priests in the templ...

Worship that is Pleasing to God Part One By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso

Worship That is Pleasing to God                           There are many debates about styles and ways of worship. Some debated even day or time of worship is particular. In the Old Testament postures and furniture were very significant; many items incorporated in worship were carefully examined like quality control for animals as an offering. In our generation, we incorporate coffeehouse and mini bars, band, lights and sounds and entertainers in our sanctuary just to make new comers feel welcomed and entertained. While in the other churches they would not to  talk or smile to one another because they choose to bow and prostrate to their God, some church are more noisy, shouting, jumping etc and that is their worship. It is not in my prerogative to judge their worship because these are all expressions; however I acknowledge that we have so many ways to express...

The Secret to a World Ecomic, Political and Military Power

By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso            The secret of World Economic, Political and Military Power is Christianizing Philippines. This is only the absolute and way the other country will take the lead to the world. I personally believed that Philippines is a very special Nation that God really care. I will site my example in historical point of view. First is the conquest of Magellan in 15th century. That time, Spain was not yet leading country when it comes to economic and military power because of her opponent "Portuguese" who was also taking the other side of the continent. It was Ferdinand Magellan from Portuguese argued that the World is round and it will connect to the spice island by taking the navigation through Atlantic ocean across Pacific Ocean, instead from via Indian sea. Of course on our time using google map, we will say its not a big deal. But looking to theirs “actually no map ye...

The True Disciples of Jesus Part Four

Personal Invitation of Jesus "Come Follow Me"!         By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso       Now, I am asking you, are you a true disciple of Jesus? You can only say “YES I AM” if you are ready to die physically for him and him alone. By the way all disciples of Jesus died as a martyr except John the beloved, when the Roman soldiers failed to "deep fry" him with boiling oil, they exile h im in Patmos instead.             If we call ourselves a disciples of Jesus because we are a member of a discipleship group conducted by our churches, but without the realization of being a martyr is not a true disciple of Jesus; we just a disciple of our bible teacher in church. If your teachers cannot model what is martyr maybe they're not yet a disciple of Jesus. Therefore, Churches produce a so called none disciples of Jesus church me...

True Disciples of Jesus Part Three

Disciple of Jesus must Advocate Love of God               By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso          I thank God that I stumbled on the book “Cost of Discipleship” by Bonheoffer. He was the theologian during the time of Hitler, who virtually opposed Hitler’s tyranny and he became a martyr during World War II, because he was murdered by Hitler a few days before Germany was captured. Bonheoffer defines “what is a true disciple”, and he said …”When Christ calls a man He bids Him come and die.” It means that the true disciples or followers of Jesus are those follow Him not because of food, healing, wealth, political asylum etc. only but those who is willing die with him. He “Bonhoeffer” explained about the calling of the disciples "why the FISHING scenario was to be repeated after His resurrection. Because Jesus wants to emphasize this time the word...

The True Disciples of Jesus Part II

Jesus Disciples was not Limited to Twelve in Three years         By: Jesse Amiel Amiel Ramoso               Upon my research, I discover that there were more than twelve disciples or followers of Jesus. He sent the first twelve without pocket money, but later in another incident Jesus sent the seventy disciples by pairs in Jerusalem. Lastly, in John 6:66 many of Jesus disciples left him. Upon carefully examining what is disciple and how many really they were, I ended up counting those who follow Jesus in the wilderness that Jesus feed them with a few fish loaves. So, I discover that Jesus was not only handling twelve but thousands of followers/disciples in just a few years in his ministry? I learned that Jesus first twelve disciples was been personally invited to follow him. The others are I am not sure if they were personally invited by Jesus, perhaps they volunteer themselves to fo...

The True Disciples of Jesus "Part One"

By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso                               As I promised to post a research regarding Disciples or Biblical numeric, I was stumbled by the book of Bonheoffer titled “The Cost of Discipleship ”. But before I’m going to explain Bonhoeffer’s view of discipleship, let me first define the word “disciple/s”. I just want to clarify that if there is a true disciples of Jesus then there must be a false disciples.                    The biblical terms or understanding of disciple/s can be directly understood as FOLLOWERS. This idea was not pioneered by Jesus but it was the ancient term used to a teacher to a student relationship. In fact,  Plato has his own followers and one of them was Aristotle, Ar...

How Some Churches and Preachers are Sinfully Guilty of Cheating and Stealing

By: Ptr. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso    Psychiatrist and broadcaster Dr Raj Persaud has admitted plagiarising material for a book and articles published under his name .    Here in the Philippines supreme court Justice Marian Del Castillo plagiarized  decision to dismiss the petition of 70 Filipino comfort women .   I was confused who is the real author of the “(12) principle”, because when I went to Mindanao I found out that there is G12, here in Manila D12. I'm not sure if there is A12, B12 to Z12? Who's the real author of this concept? Anyway this is just my example of a confused authorship of something which everyone claims they're the original and others are just plagiarizing. So many preachers and teachers in the church today appear highly intellectual in their preachings and teachings whereas their ideas were taken from a book or ...
