Political Integrity Towards Ministry BY: Rev. Jesse Amiel A. Ramoso
Jn 7: 44-53
Let's us be aware that even in ministry there is politics. If you are not aware, in this reflection it will awaken your thought that the battle in the ministry of serving God is not happening outside the church first. The battles happens with in, with the leadership or leadership versus members or sometimes it is from personal or within families are involved in a specific disputes. Compromises of integrity is one's being attack and it's the matter of to whom you will side. Sad to know, it is our nature to side in the "majority wins" rather than what are right things to do. We are bombarded everyday and every time once we are in the leadership for this kind of pressures. It is the matter of time when we give up our integrity but sometimes we gave up because of fear of lossing our heads, position or compensations and benefits. But this is not true to Nicudemus, he stands with integrity and with wisdom to use his skills to question legally the gravity of the intention of his fellow Pharisees. Necudemus used his skills and professions in the glory of God against this majority. We knew that Necudemus did his homework by interviewing Jesus personally in John 3. Necudemus reveals the true or due process of investigation before throwing his vote to the congress or court of law of the Pharissee. We knew Necudemus stands with integrity until Jesus’ death, and Necudemus finds the opportunity to to spend his time and resources by funding Jesus funeral/burial service. In doing this Necudemus find his ways to stand in the midst of huge gravity of corrupt lawyers or "fellow officers or officemates", and this lawyers has been successful of murdering Jesus using the law. It must be a threat to Necudemus to againt them, but instead finds his way to stand his integrity. Today we can be Necudemus provided we master the Law "BIBLE" and practice it in our daily life until it becomes natural for us to o the right things. We can if we want if we don't there so many ways to find reasons why we do not.
